We’re thrilled to be hosting the utterly brilliant Mrs Magoo and Chris Confusion on 31.01.20 in the top two rooms of the Mash House. Mrs Magoo headlines in the jungle, dnb and breaks room, and in the other room, techno and 4x4 beats of all kinds will be capped with a guest slot from the great Chris Confusion. Our trusty crew of residents will keep you raving like you can’t stop, with sets from Morphamish, Stevoid, Luka, The Toxicologist and Alias23.

About ETC (Edinburgh Tekno Cartel)

This was recorded at our massively fun club ETC. Every month has a different theme for dressing up+decor. September's was Away With The Fairies. This live set is a fair dose of nasty hard techno/breaks/hardcore with a sprinkling of fairy/mushroom banter created specifically for the night. The music at ETC always varies, starting a bit mellower and usually going to a harder place. This gives you an idea of the intensity of a 1-2 set, and how I like to tailor a bit of theme specific stuff for each time. I love that the stylus on the decks picked up the crowd sound at the end of the set! Happy sweaty times. (all music written and performed by myself)

ETC, or the Edinburgh Tekno Cartel to use its full name, is a club night we run in Edinburgh. Tons of fun, dirty beats, dress up, banter galore. Our residents (Toxicologist, Morphamish [Pillbox/Black Lantern], Damaged Electronics, Luka [Dogma], Alias23 [Pedigree Skum]) come from a diverse background covering techno, dubstep, acid house, bassline, breaks, dnb, jungle, metal, breakcore, hardtek, gabber and more.

For us the term tekno means embracing the whole broad spectrum of raving music. We get bored of listening to the same thing all night - expect musical diversity, gravitating towards the harder stuff to the end of the night.

We're all about everyone having fun - there's a different theme every month for decor and dressing up the freakier the better...

All this is is gelled together with mind bending custom-made live visuals from VJ Mavdog [Pedigree Skum] and Discreation [Pillbox/Dogma].

Its a super friendly club which concentrates on residents, local guests and up and comers, while occasionally getting in bigger names from further afield.

Previous guests include Crystal Distortion, Ixy, 69 DB, Mark Archer, Suburbass, Wottamess, Dolphin, Jerome Hill, Chris Moss Acid, Tech Diff, Johnny Sideways and many local legends.
