Morphamish makes fresh satisfying music for raving and recharging.
His music draws from a wide range of bass music forms, all held together with funk. He’s a musical omnivore, creating tunes for practically any context, from the most gentle to the most mental, and Anywhen in between.
Frisky dirty LIVE SETS of all original music can range from bass heavy breaks-laced techno, through dnb hybrid forms, to majorly banging tek intensities.
It’s no po-faced monotonous boring 1 note thing. Instead it’s funky, hypnotic, solid yet constantly mutating, properly banging, full of fat basslines, with plenty samba, ragga and afrobeat influenced rhythms, with a techno head’s mentality, using rapid looped insistence, synth play and dubby mind-bending momentum-swelling-fx.
His DJ SETS are warm welcoming energising fun anything goes affairs. Here he draws on material from any genre and era, custom edits and reworkings, unlikely combinations that actually work, his own diverse creations, heart warming, fortifying, funny or just down right weird samples and more.
Organic band based music like ska, punk funk, vintage dub, alt rock, afrobeat and much more, with electronic elements from across the raving spectrum tastefully and psychedelically blended for maximum dance floor tenacity. The line between dj and live performance is blurred with musical effects play and looping, growing moments to create maximum jollies for everyone.
Morphamish has received support and plaudits from Rob Da Bank, Mary Ann Hobbes, No Yeah No, Warlock, Tom Robinson, Crystal Distortion, Kromestar, Akira Kiteshi, Kanji Kinetic, DFRNT, Huw Stephens and Warren Ellis.
“Now here’s a producer that treats music as Picasso did paintings. Morphamish’s works seem similarly varied in terms of both style and subject matter and he’s just as prolific. Then when it all goes cubist, his glitched up blends of fragmented bass music act like the Three Musicians packed in their gear for a sampler, synth and sequencer. Needless to say, he’s a nutter, but the good kind that always smile as they rock back and forth to a sinewave LFO.”
